The month of October is quite possibly the best time to visit Paris for so many reasons. For one, the temperatures have cooled and the tourists have gone back home. Paris’ prestigious contemporary art fair FIAC takes place, meaning the Parisian art dealers exhibit their best artists’ work to appeal to the influx of international collectors who descend upon the city of light. Lastly, the colors of Paris turn a beautiful hue, as leaves become orange and skies become gray…
Check out some of my favorite art exhibits in Paris during this month.
Petit Palais
The Petit Palais is a fine art museum owned by the city of Paris, housing works from the city’s collection. It was originally built for the 1900 Universal Exhibition and became a museum just two years later. Inside, you’ll find a wonderful collection of French nationalist paintings and sculptures.

Hors Les Murs
The Jardin des Tuileries became a gallery in and of itself for the Hors Les Murs program during FIAC. The trees in the park turned a lovely orange hue, and the park itself was filled with numerous large art installations.
