Kiosque des Noctambules (Othoniel Metro Entrance) Paris
The Kiosque des Noctambules, designed by French artist Jean-Michel Othoniel, is a unique and colorful entrance to the Palais Royal – Musée du Louvre metro station in Paris, France.
The entrance consists of two glass and aluminum structures resembling giant peacock feathers or shells. These structures are adorned with vibrant colored glass beads and are illuminated from within, creating a striking and whimsical effect, especially at night
The installation was inaugurated in 2000 as part of the celebration of the centenary of the Paris Métro. It has since become somewhat of a quirky landmark in the city, attracting fans of the artist.
