Port de Sóller is the seaside port town located very close to the town of Soller on the Spanish island of Mallorca on the Mediterranean Sea. A tramway has connected the two destinations in about 20 minutes since 1913. Some of the original cars are still used today. Port de Soller vs Soller
Is it better to stay in Port de Soller or Soller? I much preferred staying in the seaside Port de Soller town because it’s located directly on the beach. If you visit during the peak season of July and August, being on the beach will help you survive the hot summer days. However, inland Soller is a larger town with more amenities like restaurants, hotels, and boutiques.
Transportation
You can take a taxi or a bus between Palma airport and Port de Soller. A taxi will cost around 60€.

Another popular Mallorcan dish is the Frito Mallorquin, which is made of fried potatoes, onions, and green peppers.
Take the Train to Soller
One of the most fun things you can do in Port de Soller is to take the train to the inland town of Soller. This is a great way to see the stunning scenery of Mallorca. Nearby Valldemossa has a lovely town center you can explore. The bus to Valldemossa isn’t for the faint of heart, but the drive is well worth it!
