Austin is the home of all things “weird” in Texas, so it’s no surprise the city has drawn quite a few specialty coffee shops to its neighborhoods. From trendy South Congress to Downtown Austin, there are several specialty coffee joints worth stopping by should you find yourself in the capital of Texas!
Austin has a vibrant coffee culture with a growing number of specialty coffee shops, roasters, and coffee events serving up third wave coffee.

In addition to coffee shops, Austin is also home to several specialty coffee roasters such as Third Coast Coffee, Greater Goods Coffee Roasters, and Cuvee Coffee. These roasters offer a variety of high-quality coffee beans that are roasted locally in Austin.
Events
Finally, Austin is also host to several coffee events throughout the year, including the Texas Coffee Festival and the Austin Coffee + Film Festival. These events offer coffee lovers the opportunity to taste a variety of coffees from different roasters and learn more about the coffee industry.
While I didn’t get a chance to visit all of these coffee shops during my weekend in Austin (that would be a lot of caffeine), I did get to try a few!
Overall, Austin’s Specialty Coffee scene is growing and thriving, and it’s a great place for coffee lovers to explore and discover new flavors and experiences!
