It’s the most wonderful time of the year – Christmas in New York City! The Big Apple really knows how to deck the halls, with gorgeous Christmas trees sparkling all throughout the city. If you’re looking for the prettiest trees to check out this holiday season, here are some of the best:

Wondering where to see the best NYC Christmas trees this holiday season? There are many more Christmas trees in New York City besides the famous Rockefeller Center tree.

Washington Square Park

The towering tree in Washington Square Park is a true NYC icon. The over 50 foot tall Norway spruce is lit up each year with thousands of lights. Make your way through the arched pathways of the park to see the tree in all its glory, surrounded by historic buildings decked out for the season.

Bryant Park

Bryant Park transforms into a magical winter wonderland each year with its Winter Village. The jewel of the village is the towering Norway spruce Christmas tree dressed in thousands of lights. Surrounded by the charming shops and ice skating rink, it’s a picture perfect scene.

The Plaza Hotel

The Plaza Hotel’s Christmas tree is a sight to behold, sparkling within the gorgeous lobby of this iconic NYC hotel. While you’re there, stop into the Food Court for some delicious holiday treats!

Rockefeller Center

No list of NYC Christmas trees is complete without the iconic Rockefeller Center tree. The 77-foot-tall Norway spruce is adorned with over 50,000 lights and a 900 pound Swarovski crystal star topper. Seeing the tree lit up overlooking the legendary ice skating rink is a bucket list holiday experience.

Madison Square Park

Madison Square Park’s holiday tree is unique – it’s made of recycled materials! The contemporary tree is built from reclaimed wood scraps and shaped into a towering cone lit by colorful lights. Check out this modern take in contrast to the historic Flatiron building.

New York Public Library

The New York Public Library on Fifth Avenue gets into the holiday spirit with a light-strewn tree out front. Capture a photo in front of the iconic marble lion statues with the tree as a festive backdrop.

Radio City Music Hall

Swing by Radio City Music Hall to see their art deco lobby decorated with an elegant Christmas tree. It’s decked out in Art Deco style decorations that complement the legendary venue’s architecture beautifully.

South Street Seaport

Head down to the historic seaport neighborhood to see the Christmas tree at Pier 17. Perched right along the East River, the tree glittering with blue lights is a perfect place to take in views of the Brooklyn Bridge. There’s also an outdoor holiday market here full of gifts and treats.

Highline Hotel Tree

This is by far my favorite Christmas tree in the city! It’s just as stunning as the one in Rockefeller Center, and you don’t have to deal with tourist crowds. The tree even features illuminated, colorful “presents” below it! The Hotel kindly hosts a lighting ceremony at the beginning of December, which sadly, I did not attend because I was in Miami. This tree is definitely worth a visit if you are in the Chelsea area.
