Café Lapérouse

Café Lapérouse is a trendy restaurant in Hotel de la Marine on the Place de la Concorde in Paris. Hotel de la Marine was built between 1757 and 1774 during the reign of Louis XV and originally served as the garrison headquarters for the French Navy. In 2015, the building underwent major renovations and during this time, Café Lapérouse opened.

Café Lapérouse opened in June 2017. The interior was designed by Jacques Garcia to evoke the spirit of the historic Lapérouse restaurant, which opened in 1766 and was a famous meeting place for philosophers, writers, and revolutionaries in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Café La Perouse serves French cuisine for lunch, tea, and dinner in an elegant dining room decorated with wood paneling, velvet banquettes, antique mirrors, nautical motifs, and artwork. Its menus are inspired by the recipes of the legendary Chef Jean-Baptiste de Galaup from the original café.
