The Line is a minimal chic hotel in the heart of Koreatown in Los Angeles. I stayed here for two nights in February during my work trip to LA! Here are my thoughts and review.

I loved the floor-to-ceiling windows which offered bright views of LA buildings, however, I was disappointed I didn’t get a room with a view overlooking the Hollywood mountains!

The bed was super comfortable, and the large desk made it ideal for working. It features USB ports for charging your phone.

The curtains are controlled by bedside buttons and can be closed or opened from the bed, which is convenient. There were two curtain options: sheer and blackout, giving you a choice of how much light is let inside your room.

The walls are made of beautiful light grey concrete, and the room is decorated with minimalist furniture.

The room comes with a robe and slippers, however, only the slippers are made of absorbent cotton.

Water pressure in the shower was great and the temperature could be easily controlled. Bathroom lighting could be improved, as the light is a dull, ugly yellow color.

The hotel offers a swimming pool and restaurant. The pool is located on the 2nd floor of the hotel which means it doesn’t get sunlight all day long due to the high-rise buildings across the street that block it from shining through. The pool itself is quite small too, and not great for doing laps.

The restaurant, Comissary, was really delicious and hit the spot the day I arrived. I had a really tasty turkey, bacon, and cheese sandwich with a side of fries. The sandwich was so big, I could only eat half of it!

The café in the lobby is a great place to get some specialty coffee in the morning, though I had to laugh at the $4 croissants for sale. My latte was priced reasonably, at just under $5.

Overall, I would absolutely recommend the hotel if you have a reason to be in Koreatown and don’t plan on spending too much time by the pool!
